It was the night before Chinese New Year, and a shop was full of visitors with joyful customers. Suddenly, a beast sabotaged the shop; the crowd was panicking riotously, and vendors of the shop tried to escape. Few people were dead, and many were seriously injured.

The next wintry day at Shaolin, Meng-Di & Hua were having a conversation about Chinese New Year. “So what are we going to do during the 2 weeks of Chinese New Year?” Hua asked Meng-Di. “Well, I know Master Sanzang let us go home with our family during the week of New Year,” Meng-Di answered, “or we could just stay here.” The boys came along. “Hey girls!” Cheng said. “What up giblets?” Tang followed. The girls were awkward from what they have heard from Tang. “You’re calling us a liver of a bird?” Meng-Di asked. Hua & Cheng laughed riotously. “Uh, sorry, I don’t know what that meant!” Tang laughed weakly. “So what are you guys going to do during the week of Chinese New Year?” Meng-Di asked. “Oh, I was thinking I should go home with my family, but I decided to just stay here!” Cheng answered. “But wouldn’t that make your family lonesome without you?” Hua asked. “My family can visit me here and I can go home the next day after Chinese New Year,” Cheng answered, “anyway, when do you care about me?” Hua twitched her eyes as her cheeks went red. She gasped and stammered. “Hah, I knew that you love me!” Cheng laughed. “You—I—D’AH!” Hua stammered. Meng-Di laughed as she was thinking what they would do during the week of Chinese New Year. “Hey, I have and idea!” Meng-Di said. “What?” Tang, Cheng & Hua asked simultaneously. “Maybe we should go to the shop where most of the customers go to!” Meng-Di said. “Oh yeah, the shop near Siam!” Tang followed. “Yeah, if only Sanzang let us go since we preferred to stay here!” Cheng scoffed. “I wouldn’t let you go if you won’t let me join you.” Sanzang came along and said. “Master!” the 4 of them exclaimed. “You overheard what we said?” Cheng asked nervously. “Well, I only heard the last one about letting you go to the shop.” he replied. Cheng sweat in embarrassment because he called Sanzang without the ‘master’ part. “Indeed, I’ll let you go,” Sanzang said, “if you accept that I’ll come along with you.” Cheng, Hua, Meng-Di & Tang agreed.

On their way over the popular shop near Siam, the teenagers were excited what kind of souvenirs and other pleasures awaits them. “I can’t believe we’re going to the most awesome shop ever,” Meng-Di squealed in excitement, “the trendy outfits, the cutest toys and any other cool knick-knacks!" Hua followed, “Don’t forget the hottest shoes!” The girls all squealed of excitement. “Speaking of those stuff, let’s buy something romantic for them, so they would like us!” Cheng whispered to Tang. “Great idea!” Tang whispered back. They did their secret handshake together. They arrived at the shop, but were aghast; the shop was wrecked and abolished, done by the beast that destructed the shop. “Dang, looks like a tornado hit this place.” Hua said. “Holy—” Tang chopped his words, as he was about to say a vulgar slang. Everyone was staring at Tang. “Anyway, what happened to this place?” Meng-Di asked. Just then, Sanzang and the 4 teens heard a sob from a short distance. “Who or what the heck is that?” Tang asked. The sob continues. “Let’s go!” Meng-Di commanded. Everyone followed her as she followed the path of where the sound was coming from. They found a woman crying. “Who is she?” Cheng whispered. Hua & Meng-Di approached to the lady and asked the lady who she was. “I’m Mili, the manager of that shop.” the woman answered, pointing at the shop, weeping. “If you’re the manager of the shop, then who or what shattered it?” Hua asked. “A beast, a ferocious one,” Mili sobbed, “because of that malicious monster, my shop is ruined, and people were injured and vanished.” The 4 Wuzangs’ were stunned by what they’ve heard, while Sanzang was growing with curiosity. “When did this incident happen?” Meng-Di investigated while writing on her notes. “Yesterday,” Mili stammered and sobbed, “listen teenagers, you have to be aware of that demon!” Sanzang said, “Wuzangs, this is your mission; you have to investigate and cease that monster. You have to go now before it overpowers Henan. Beware not to risk yourselves too hard; the town is counting on you.” The 4 teens bowed. “Do your mission, while I bring this lady to Shaolin.” Sanzang said. “No, I have to stay here,” Mili said as tears rolled down her cheeks, “I’ll be safe out here.” “No lady,” Cheng said, “it’s too risky out here in the wilderness, you have to come with Master Sanzang to Shaolin.” Mili finally agreed. “Children, do your agenda, while I bring her to Shaolin. You have to find that beast before midnight. Otherwise, it’s too late.” The 4 of them bowed again in front of Sanzang and set off to do their mission.
